Posted on 08-27-2009I'm traveling to New York City next week and taking a good look at this list from Elliott.org listing the worst hotels across the country before I book mine because unfortunately, there are a bunch of the worst in the Big Apple! From the dirtiest rooms to some unwanted guests of the rodent persuasion, make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before booking your next hotel room.
The Spotted Pig
Posted on 08-04-2009Manhattan is a brimming with fantastic burger joints and every time you blink, a new one pops up. But no matter how many burgers I try, the ultimate hamburger award belongs to the noteworthy gastro-pub, The Spotted Pig. Not only was this burger covered in an aged blue cheese and adorned with crispy shoestring fries, it sat on a buttery bun that I would have eaten on it’s own. And of course, the meat, oh the meat, it was juicy, flavorful, rich, and cooked to perfection. Of course the chef wouldn’t divulge the special combination of meat in that patty, so I’ll just have to keep going back.
