New England Getaway: Nantucket
Kelley Ferro, 10/09/09
A perfect getaway the brisk fall, when the summer crowds have gone home, Nantucket reverts back to the quiet fishing island with cobbled streets, long drives past wild beaches and plenty of New England charm. The island has paid attention to preserving it’s historic past, and many of the original houses and town halls are still intact, giving the whole island an old world feel. You can’t miss the Brant Point lighthouse or the delicious fried fish sandwiches at Sayle’s Seafood.
