In Fez, Morocco, a must stop are the Choura Tanneries-- the largest in Fez, and an operation that’s almost 600 years old. Animal skins are cured,dyed in outdoor pits and laid out to dry in the sun. This time intensive process takes weeks and the whole tannery is run by one family, with a work team consisting of 125 people. Be prepared for one of the most amazing and visually stunning sights in Morocco.
