Don’t Go There

I’m always drawn to international travel destinations that 'regular' travelers wouldn't even on their list. First it was East Berlin before the wall fell; then Russia during the Cold War and Kiev after Chernobyl. By the time I headed off to Croatia with unrest right over the border, my friends and family had pretty much given up telling me to stay safe and heed travel warnings. Now I'm itching to get to Cuba more than ever after reading this article from Elliott.org on verboten vacations.
