As much as I love hopping on my bike for a nice ride, after reading this article from Rough Guides, I don't think I could ever come close to taking on the RAAM (Race Across America). The RAAM is one of the most grueling -- and rewarding -- bicycle races in the world, spanning over 3,000 miles and giving participants a one-of-a-kind experience sporting event and a unique look at the country.

    I have enough trouble making it on a 5 mile course in our city. just reading this makes me tired!
