When I was in college, it was all I could do to get up for the 7:30 am lecture, so I am in awe of young revolutionaries, no matter what their cause. It's amazing to me that at such a young age people like Julio Antonio Mella had the foresight and fortitude to lead their peers in life-changing, culture-shifting movements. Julio Antonio MellaBorn in 1905 to an Irish mother and a Dominican father, charismatic, handsome Julio Antonio Mella was a leading light in the Cuban student movement. After a comfortable middle-class childhood, he enrolled in the Universidad de la Habana at the age of sixteen.
